Class of 1968 - 45th Reunion - Saturday Sept. 7th, 2013

The reunion committee has really been working overtime on this one:
Friday night September 6th - Those who are inclined to eat pizza and/or drink beer will be at Lamppost Pizza in Orange Friday night around 7ish. This is the most casual of the events, everyone welcome, separate checks. Lamppost Pizza is just west of the 55 (Costa Mesa) freeway, 1829 E. Chapman in Orange, south side of the street. Map to Pizza

Saturday afternoon Sept. 7th - The Main Event, The Reunion Picnic at Irvine Regional Park. This time there’ll be Burgers, Bar-B-Q’d Chicken and sides for lunch, it starts at 12 noon. Fun and games start at 2. I spoke with special guest Coach Tom Baldwin a couple of weeks ago and he’s really looking forward it. If you’re a musician bring your acoustic instrument and join in the jam starting at 3. This shindig is being funded with a raffle, and among other great prizes, Brian Mann has generously donated a weekend stay at his beach house at Morro Bay. We’ve got a spot apart from the all-Saints picnic so ask at the front gate for directions and follow the signs. But wait! There’s More! Map to Park

Saturday night Sept. 7th - Mark and Krysia Finley, who live a stone’s throw from Irvine Park, have done us all a big favor by hosting a party in the evening. Cocktails and hor d’oeuvres start at 5 and gourmet tacos from the gourmet truck will be served starting at 6. I am assured that sufficient quantities of beer and red wine will also be on hand, along with more than sufficient quantities of music and fun. We’ll have maps at the picnic. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

I hope you can make it, to RSVP I’m at jjoslyn@me.com.

P.S. (Have you ever been north of Morro Bay? The south coast plows the sea and the people there are of the breed, they don't need electricity... Al Jardine, Beach Boys, 1973.)
