Bob Morgan, Words from The Boxer

Jerry, Patti, et al

Thanks for the tremendous effort putting the reunion together. I had a blast, Seeing everyone there, wondering about those that were not. I'll post again about my life since "68 later but for now I wanted to share this. It was a rather introspective drive back home to Carlsbad and this popped into my head. It is the "missing verse" from Paul Simon's "The Boxer."

Now the years are rolling by me.
They are rocking evenly.
I am older than I once was,
Younger than I'll be,
That's not unusual.
No it isn't strange,
After changes upon changes,
We are more or less the same.
After changes we are more or less the same.

peace out
Morgan

Bob - I'm hip to the lower left hand corner, I once lived in IB, before I moved to IV. Help, email me your reunion photos as attachments, I'm all out! I may have to use photos from these youngsters. – Jerry

  1. Thanks for the "missing" Boxer lyric.
I'm pretty sure “The Boxer” was a Top Twenty. The Bridge over Troubled Water album was released in January 1970, with Garfunkel's soaring vocals on its title track. I think I played "El Cóndor Pasa" day and night, and "Cecilia" danced with all of us.
